The Cats 101 episode featuring the Colorpoint Shorthair airs Saturday November 21st at 9pm on Animal Planet. Parts of this episode were filmed at Ingrid's house and feature her cats demonstrating foraging toys and a background story on her behavior conseling services.
I saw this episode and Googled Ingrid, which is how I found this blog. I'm familiar with environment enrichment for zoo animals and for dogs, but it had NEVER occurred to me that it was important for domestic cats, as well. I'll definitely be using foraging toys when I adopt my next cat.
ReplyDeleteI saw this show a few times, and it got me to invest in cat tree that reach to my small apartment celines, I am considering getting rid of the cat food bowls and only have foridging food toys.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if I will make them but since my vet suggested to cut down on my cats feeding because everyone is a little overweight. I am looking for tips to keep my cats feed well but not obesse
